My creations are assemblages of twigs sculpted with a knife after being cut with pruning shears during brush clearing or maintenance work. Once dry, with the ends sanded, I drill holes in them to join them with cotton or linen thread. They are then suspended, hung, tied, or simply placed. Some sculptures are freed from the thread.

Each type of wood has its own colours, its own bark texture, its own lines, and its own branching patterns. Play with these textures and nuances, with these curves and knots. Bring rhythm by sculpting the wood while it is still full of sap, that leaves either the bark or the wood visible.

Each piece is unique, created with a single type of wood.
